We’re feeling GOOD VIBRATIONS about our highly anticipated, sparkling lobby floor!

The concrete with crushed mirror and glass sprayed in was poured yesterday at our New Hair Success Salon & Spa located at Blu Water Creek! Once ground and polished it will be amazing!
A huge shout-out to all of the skilled trades working on our building this week – framers, concrete workers, plumbers, electricians, roofers! Paces is doing an amazing job keeping this project rolling!

WHAT IS MICROBLADING OR MICROSTROKING? HOW IS MICROBLADE DIFFERENT THAN HAIR STROKE COSMETIC TATTOO?

Microblading, also known as microstroking, is an advanced brow embroidery technique whereby a superfine row of needles is used to create thin, hair like marks on the skin, which last up to 18 months.It is ideal for creating a very full and realistic looking brow, and is becoming an increasingly popular method in permanent makeup.

It is quite similar to hair stroke cosmetic tattoo using the machine method, however the strokes are finer, and are not implanted as deeply in the skin. Therefore, cosmetic tattoo brows completed using microblade or microstroke technique are not as permanent. They are really to be considered semi-permanent, lasting usually around 12 months before a retouch is required.

During the treatment, after a brow consultation, the new brow shape outline is penciled on, the brow area is numbed, and then pigment is implanted into the skin using very tiny needle strokes. These are built up into the new shape, and the area gradually made denser with lots of tiny hair strokes, depending on the desired result.

One, two or even three different shades of pigment can be used, creating a single, double or even triple layer brow tattoo, giving a 3D brow effect.

The treated brows are usually a little tender, and the colour a little darker than the healed result – but they are not normally so dark as to be unsightly. Normal activities like work and socialising can generally be resumed the same day. They lighten considerably to a softer tone over the next 10-14 days.

Hair Success Salons and Day Spas announced that they will be opening a brand new premium salon and spa location in south Fargo in the Fall of 2016. The final building plans have been made and a location selected near the corner of 32nd Avenue south and 45thStreet south in Fargo’s fast developing southwest corner.

“The new location has been in the works for a couple of years now and we are excited to share with everyone that we are now moving ahead with construction” said Jill Krahn Co-Founder and Owner of Hair Success. “While it will be the largest facility we’ve ever opened, its design will create a more intimate and personal “boutique” experience than we have ever offered before”, said Krahn, “…we are not about ‘bigger is better’, but more space will allow us to provide unique, new services and tailor the experience to meet the needs of each individual guest.”

While ground hasn’t broken yet at the construction site, Krahn offered a couple of reasons for make the announcement so far in front of the projected opening date. Krahn said, “The main reason we are sharing our news now is that we wanted our guests and the local community to know that we will be closing our north location on Broadway this summer. We have loved being a part of the North Fargo neighborhood, but we believe it is important to combine our resources in one location in advance of moving to our brand new facility so we will be able to streamline our operations to provide the very best service possible.”

The other reason for announcing before construction begins was that Hair Success will utilize their website and social media to involve the community in the building progress and some of the design choices. Sarah Lundblad, a part-owner in Hair Success said, “It seemed like involving our current and future guests in the development was a total no-brainer. After all, if it’s our goal to provide our guests the best salon and spa experience possible, shouldn’t we be asking them what they want?”

Krahn said, “We will continue to share more details and post our progress on Facebook and our website and we invite everyone to log-on and share our journey.” Hair Success was founded in Ada, MN in 1984. The company has grown from one employee to over 80. In January of 1997, Hair Success opened North Dakota’s first day spa.
